Lunarich at One Precinct, Bayan Lepas

Best Picture of the evening : )

The interior of Lunarich is elegant yet simple. The logo coupled with the name attracts my attention, I like names that just sounds good when I articulate it. I'm quite a dreamy person,  a thinker so the moon crescent works well with me. Luna means moon just fyi.

This is Aglio Oglio with pieces of chicken breast topped with some black olives and it all tasted so much better with the chili flakes. It didnt come with it, we had to ask for it. The dish is well covered with olive oil making the spaghetti less dry.

Spaghetti Aglio e Oglio - RM 26

Quattro Formaggi is a pasta dish topped with four types of cheese,  rich creamy taste along with Korean style beef marinated. A dish for cheese lovers.  I know I liked it.

Quattro Formaggi - RM36

Salmon steak was not one of my favourite of the evening, all I can say is the sauce was good.

Salmon Steak - RM 32.90

Tiramisu on the other hand was so good, a tad bit expensive considering the usual size i get from other Italian restaurants but worth the taste.  Decorated with sliced strawberry and a cherry, in a nice looking glass. With that size, you might even have one more but then again .......

Tiramisu - RM 12

Server for the night:Jesslyn. Indeed a helpful one. : )

ll Bacaro, Campbell House in Penang

Il Bacaro the in-house restaurant of Campbell House that serves Italian food.  Recommended by a friend, we decided to give it a try and as we were waiting for that friend to come join us, we did a little bit of creative photography mainly done by the long haired lady. I can't take credit for what's not mine.
Anyway, the friendly welcome and service by the owners, chef and waiters brought a warmth cosy atmosphere to the place. And although Nadya and Roberta owners of Il Bacaro had to go off, they made sure we were well attended to. They were friendly indeed.

Love the soup, as simply as that!

We were having sort of a snack cum lunch as we were quite full from breakfast. So here is pizza of the day that we had. I would have preferred more cheese like the one I tasted in another Italian restaurant but this is not all that bad. It does have a unique taste which I believe suits each individual differently. I will try another the next time I visit.

Pizza of The Day
I liked this dish very much especially when eating it with the sauce called Arrabiata. Fried Zucchinis and the tenderness of chicken was delightful.
Chicken Milanese w. Fried Zucchini, Aubergine, & Arrabiata Sauce - RM26
We were craving for dessert and the cookie was really good. t must be the butter, chocolate, egg all mixed up into this wonderful dessert and it can never go wrong with vanilla ice cream. My favourite combination.
Salame al Cioccolato & Vanilla Ice Cream - RM17
So nice of the chef to join us! Cheers!

Soul Kitchen Trattoria, Penang

A nice cosy little place situated right in middle of georgetown at Muntri Street is a trattoria called Soul Kitchen .Specialized in Italian food owned by a Malaysian-German couple - Michele and Tonio. This is my first time in the Green House pre-war house. I attended a birthday celebration and the evening was filled with great food and company.

My favourite was particularly spaghetti Sopranos, the sauce that comes with it including the ham and generous helping of sprinkled cheese really satisfy the tummy and if I remember right, it was the special of the day. It was so delightful that we ordered another to share just to have more of it.
The only type of tiramisu I like to have is Italian style and this place is definitely the place to go to for tiramisu. The difference with some other I have tried in Italian restaurants is that it has the presence of liquor in it. I would definitely recommend the tiramisu. It's RM 10 per piece which is reasonable. And these are the selections we had for the night!

Spaghetti Carbonara - RM 17

Lasagne
Stone Oven Pizza - RM 14

Tramezzini Grilled Sandwich Salami with roasted balsamic garlic
As you can see below, the tiramisu is not the typical square shaped which cost RM10 per iece. This is specially ordered from Soul Kitchen for the birthday baby. Nicely done, Tonio!

Celery Soup - Soup Of The Day
This is a place to go if you have a low budget with a craving for western food or italian food. The set lunches comprised of soup of the day, main meal, coffee/tea and dessert of the day. The soup of the day for me that day was celery soup. I hate celery but the soup turned out pleasant andI'm proud to say I finished it to the last drop.
Make your choice! Click on the picture.

Monte Cristo is as common as any chicken chop out there however if you are not sure what to order, this is not a bad choice . Generally speaking for all the sets with the mash potatoes, it's lousy. I left half of mine but if I did not bother about wasting food, I won't even take a second bite. For me, the texture was rough and does not melt in my mouth the way I like it.
Monte Cristo Chicken - RM 19.90 Set Lunch
The steak was cooked medium to well done as requested. It turned out pretty good as it was tender and juicy and tasted not too bad with its black pepper sauce. It was worth the price paid.
Minute Ribeye Steak - RM19.90 Set Lunch
As for the almond fish, I love the tartar sauce, makes the whole fish experience a memorable one :). Overall, it is 6 over 10 rating.
Grill Almond Fish - RM15.90 Set Lunch
This cute little thing, size of a salt and pepper bottle is honeydew jelly. Not too sweet, just the right portion included in the set(might be too little for some.)  I like!
Honeydew Jelly
A cosy quiet ambience for friends to have a good chat over food.
