Post Cafe, Perak Road, Penang

Post cafe is a nice place for simple celebration or a get together meal. The theme is post office so almost everything non-food is link to the theme. Here we were with the blindfolded birthday girl, not knowing where she has been taken to. Poor girl was clueless and she thought she was standing next to a big dustbin.

She posed but didn't dare touch it...yet, thinking it was a dust bin, believing what her mischievous friends said.
Look out for the big signboard at the side of the road to look for it, hard to miss.

The set meals were reasonably priced ranging from RM12.90 to RM 25 and with an additional RM 1, you get a semi buffet consisting of refillable drink, soup and salad. My liking would be the barbecue sauced chicken, the mash potato and the dessert which was the jelly. The rest that I tried from others was just alright for me. Get all the information you need at their website given below. Very informative!:)

Birthday girl all so happy being the celebrity of the day. Thanks to Post Cafe for the personalized birthday cake.
A snap with the friendly proprietor Rachel.
There is a DIY postcard facility where you can post home done by POST Cafe with a picture of yourself or your group of people you are with.

Cute doggy cake from the birthday girls' hubby!

Madam Soon at E-Gate, Penang

courtesy of Penang Restaurant Directory
I love Nyonya food, not because I'm half Nyonya but its the richness in taste that attracts me. My first time to Madam Soon at E-Gate was fulfilling. I was fascinated with the small order notepad the waiter was using and asked to take a picture of it. And it looks like we ordered a lot by looking at those codes but we did not. I wondered what some of the codes meant.

The Sambal Prawns were among our top tastiest and then the braised Pork Ribs as well. My friends enjoyed the pumpkin cakes which I suggest to eat it while its hot or it becomes rather unappetizing.
I poured lots of the curry of the assam fish onto my rice, something I quite like to do for curries that I like.
Inchi Kabin was really good too. The Lor Bak was not to my fancy though.
Wifi is available and service is commendable.
Nyonya Style Sambal Prawn - RM16.90

Assam Curry Fish - RM17.90

Deep Fried Chicken Lor Bak - RM 8.90

Inchi Kabin - RM9.90

Braised Farlic Pork Ribs - Rm16.90

Pumpkin Cake - RM4.90

Double Boiled Longan Sea Coconut - RM5.90
